这几家客栈各有特点，但都是纳西人自己经营的，他们的住家也在里面。
余家花园、三眼井、牛家大院的上辈都是古城中的旺族，留下的院子在古城建筑中都是数得上号的，也都是一进两院式，每院又都有其特点。
而阿全客栈的主人是个年轻人，与自助游客的关系很是密切，他的客栈依山而建，院落不大，却有味道。
方正客栈的主人是丽江书香门弟“方家”的六公子，原来是做林业的，丽江所有的山水都了如指掌，这对自助游客是一个不可多得的资源
激沙沙一流居极有特点，古城的水居然是从他家的灶膛下流过的，而主人爱好的是对自助客极的吸引力的“鹰猎”，如果是九月到次年三月期间住在他那儿，肯定会有机会和他一起去放鹰的。
除了以上几家是纳西人开的外，外地的朋友开的，我觉得有必要介绍一下老谢的车马店。住址是积善巷25号。
这个店前身是玉水旅社，是丽江古城中新时期最早的客栈了。老谢大名谢故江，原来和朋友一起经营“丽江古城青年旅馆”，并以这个旅馆名做为ID，长期驻扎在号称“国内最好的自助论坛”的新浪旅游论坛即驴坛中为想来滇西北的驴友们排忧解难。因为他本身就是一个资深的自助旅游者，所以不仅是滇西北的旅游资讯，甚至是新疆等地也张口就来。以我多年在网上观察来看，来滇西北旅游的自助游客中，可能30%以上的朋友都直接间接地得到了他的帮助――因为网络上所谓的资源共享太厉害了，只要搜索滇西北一线的资讯，很容易看到他的文章。后来他与朋友散伙，那个青年旅馆由他原来的朋友继续经营，他则出来寻找新的天地。经过近一年的考察，他看上了这个古城中难得地离停车点不远，且院子空阔的旅店。经过努力，终于和原主人达成了共识，由他将房子租了下来，并以他经营这个行业多年的理念进行了改造更新，并考虑了自驾车游客的特点。加上他新买进一辆丰田4500，这下如虎添翼了。呵呵，做为他的纳西族朋友，俺都按捺不住地替他高兴了。对了，他早在两年前就封存了“丽江古城青年旅游”这个ID，改以“老谢啊”这个ID发言。如果你需要得到他的帮助，只需要在新浪旅游论坛内留下你的问题，“老谢啊”肯定会给你满意的答复。这与住不住在他那儿没有任何关系的。
